GOVERNOR GANDUJE’S PLAN TO SUPPRESS VOTERS WILL AND RIG THE MARCH 18TH GUBERNATORIAL & STATE HOUSE OF ASSEMBLY ELECTIONS
Our attention is drawn to a surreptitious plan being made by Governor Ganduje to suppress voters will during the gubernatorial and state house of assembly elections. A number of similar plans were uncovered in the recent past and such plans were exposed to the general public and calls were made to relevant authorities to take action in many respects and actions were taken by the relevant.
Yesterday, Thursday 16th March 2023 Gov. Ganduje held secret meeting with some security personnel with the sole intention of suppressing the electorate, disrupting the election and subverting the will of the people of Kano state.
Specifically, Gov Ganduje plans to restrict all vehicular movement from Friday night with the exception of officials of the state government, they will want law enforcement agencies to stop all citizens from using their vehicles in the state. People who are leaving in locations different from where they are voting will be stopped from travelling to their respective polling sta+ons to cast their votes.
Gov Ganduje and his gang have hired bandits, thugs and vandals who will disrupt the election in some selected polling units in at least 14 LGAs in the state.
Between 2:30pm and 4:00pm, they intend to create maximum chaos in the state by unleashing violence on unsuspec+ng ci+zens, burning public places including markets and INEC offices.
And by 6:00pm on election day, Gov Ganduje plans to convene an emergency State Security Council meeting to impose a dusk to dawn curfew in all the 44 LGAs of the state.
The curfew will impose that only the law enforcement agents and INEC ADHOC staff are left at the collation centres where results will be forged in favour of the APC candidate.
8. On Sunday 19th between 4 :00am – 5:00am they will compel the Chief Returning Officer to announce the rigged result that they created.
9. They have brought into the state 15 armoured personnel carriers to be used to unleash violence and suppress voters across the State.
10. We are calling on all authorities concerned especially heads of law enforcement agencies to take every necessary action to protect the good people of Kano state and ensure free, fair and credible elections in the state as well as check the excessive impunity of Gov. Ganduje and his cohorts.
11.We are calling on the good people of Kano to come out and exercise their civic right and vote the party of their choice. We are also calling on everyone to ensure that they all participate in “operation protect your vote” within the confines of the law.
