Nigerians have called for the arrest of King Westt, one of the sons of former Lagos NURTW chairman, Musiliu Ayinde Akinsanya a.k.a MC Oluomo, after a video of him spending new naira notes for popular fuji musician, Kwam 1 at an event surfaced online.
It all began when King Westt took to his Instagram page to share a video from an event he attended.
In the clip, he was seen spraying ace Fuji musician, Kwam 1 with the newly redesigned naira notes, an act which sent tongues wagging on the Internet.
Many of those who saw the video have now called for the arrest of King Westt, saying he deserves the treatment meted out to Nollywood actress, Simi Gold, who was accused of selling the new notes.
An IG year posho_beads_fascinators wrote: “Dey won’t arrest these ones oo”
Another Nigerian, ade_jumoke967 said: “In the end, those they were trying to punish still have more than enough access to the new money. It’s still masses receiving the punishment in their stead.”
a_biola1 added: “Efcc won’t see these ones to arrest.”
While duchessofdivas wrote: “They should carry all of them, if not then they should release that girl.”
However, a netizen identified as hon.akinkunmi_kelly27 defended him saying: “Don’t blame the spenders or the receiver, obviously, they bought the mint at the venue. The question is, where did the seller get the new notes from? The energy shouldn’t be on the spender. And we all can see they sprayed responsively. I’m not speaking for anyone but it’s the fact.”
