With 3-0 Against Fulham Arsenal Secures 5 Points

Arsenal restored their five-point advantage at the top of the Premier League over their closest rivals, Man City with a ruthless display at Craven Cottage.

Manchester City had earlier edged past Crystal Palace on Saturday night to reduce Arsenal’s lead to just two points, but Mikel Arteta’s side responded with an emphatic 3-0 win over Fulham.

Gunners defender, Gabriel, opened the scoring for the visitors after he headed home a corner kick from Leandro Trossard in the 21st minute.

Prior to this, Gabriel Martinelli’s goal had been narrowly ruled out for offside by the Video Assistant Referee (VAR).

Arsenal made it 2-0 after Trossard once again found Martinelli who beat a static Antonee Robinson to head home at the far post five minutes after the first goal.

Martin Odegaard’s cool finish in first-half stoppage time after a third assist from the Belgian made it 3-0 to Arsenal.

Fulham mounted a belated threat after the break but visiting keeper Aaron Ramsdale denied Bobby de Cordova-Reid, while Tosin Adarabioyo headed against the woodwork.

The Gunners, however, were always in control and Arteta was able to re-introduce influential striker Gabriel Jesus for the first time since his knee surgery after the World Cup.
